Damaged Goods

I envisioned this project several years ago but in that time I bought a house, moved, changed to night shift at work, had major surgery twice, had a family pet die and all those other types of things that you check on the scale to determine whether or not you might have too much stress in your life. I did however keep the idea in my mind and sporadically did some work on it. I knew I wanted to needlefelt the dolls so with a few books and some online knowledge sources I taught myself how. One felt artist who inspired me greatly is Victor Dubrovsky.

After much craziness (on my end) the dolls arrived at their destination (Gualala Arts Center’s Dolled Up exhibit) curated by my good friend and artist, Nanette Wylde and my newly made friend and artist, Jane Reichhold. It is wonderful to see the dolls up and to know they are in the company of so many other talented and unique artists. The pic below is a little fuzzy, so I will repost when I have a clearer pic.
